Materials

3.5mm crochet hook

Paint box cotton DK scrap amounts of 2 shades of yellow (Daffodil Yellow and Buttercup Yellow)

Fibre Filling

Tapestry Needle

Scissors

Optional 6mm safety eyes (8mm can also be used)

Optional key chain

Optional stitch marker

Notes

Each round is worked in a continuous round unless otherwise stated. 
A stitch marker is recommended for keeping track of your stitches for each round

Increase means to place 2 stitches in the same stitch from the previous round.

Instructions inside ( ) are to be repeated.

Picot stitch - Chain 3, slip stitch back down into the 1st chain made creating a little bobble effect.

With Daffodil Yellow  (or shade of your choice) Make 2

Round 1: MR 6SC OR [CH 2 and 6SC in the 1st CH] (6)

Round 2: INC in each ST around. (12)

Round 3: (INC, SC) around. (18)

Round 4: (INC, SC 2) around. (24)

Round 5: (INC, SC 3) around. SL St to next St and F/O and weave in ends. (30)

On one circle, insert safety eyes in Round 3 approximately 3 ST apart, and embroider on cheeks and a smile, if desired.

Change to Buttercup Yellow (or shade of your choice)

Place both circles on top of each other, wrong sides together.  Continue the next two rounds working with the face looking up at you. 

Round 6: SC in each ST around. SL St to 1st ST. (30) Make sure to go through both layers to join them together.  About ¾ of the way around stop and stuff with a small amount of stuffing.  Finish the last few SC stitches. 

Round 7: CH1, *(HDC, DC, PIC, DC, HDC) SK ST, SL ST to next*,  REP * * around. SL ST to 1st ST. (10 “rays” or groups of (HDC, DC, PIC, DC, HDC))

F/O and weave in ends. 

Add optional key chain
